Here is a little secret about us. We do not wait for December to get festive. Nope. We throw a whole Christmas in July, because honestly, where else can you walk in on a sweaty summer day, hear Christmas carols playing, daydream about hoodie weather, snag some gifts, and have a blast with a team that actually loves you? That is right. Nowhere but here. We are kind of extra like that and we own it.
Celebrating the little things is just our vibe. Life is a lot of regular old days, so why not make one of them feel special? Christmas in July is silly and fun and it is also secretly genius, because it is the perfect time to knock out some holiday shopping early. Shop resale and you can grab gifts for way less than new. A designer bag for your pickiest friend, a cute sweater stashed away for winter, a treasure for someone you love. You look like a gift-giving hero and you barely spent a thing. Trust.
And because it is way too hot to bake, here is a no bake treat you can make with zero oven time. We call them Christmas in July no bake cookies. Here is the move. In a saucepan, melt together half a cup of butter, two cups of sugar, half a cup of milk, and a quarter cup of cocoa, and let it boil gently for about a minute. Pull it off the heat and stir in half a cup of peanut butter and a teaspoon of vanilla until smooth. Then stir in three cups of quick oats. Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper and let them set. Toss some red and green sprinkles on top while they are soft if you want to be festive about it. Done. No oven, no sweat, all merry.
